Vacationing & Travel

  • It’s always more fun traveling with a friend so make room for Spinoza! Any of his audio cassettes will do, but if your child will be traveling alone (for example, on an airplane), record your own messages or stories that your child can play in Spinoza if he/she is lonely or scared.
  • Learning is all around us and family vacations are no exception! Do You Wonder? is a great way to encourage your child’s curiosity. What kind of questions does your child have about the museum you’re going to see or the monument you just passed?
  • Car trips are long for drivers and passengers, so why not build some fun into your ride? Record alphabet games, trivia questions, or read stories the whole family can enjoy and play them through Spinoza.
  • As we all know, adults and children don’t always agree on radio stations. Spinoza has a headphone jack on his tape player in case your children aren’t interested in your choice of music.
  • Say cheese! Your child is an instant photographer with an easy-to-use disposable camera. Your child can take pictures of Spinoza packing a suitcase, setting up a tent, relaxing in the park, etc. After getting the photographs developed, show your child how to use colored paper and crayons to create a neat scrapbook or photo album to show family and friends.
